About this winery
Borgogno was established in 1761 by Bartolomeo Borgogno and has long been one of the most recognized names in Piedmont. (Vintage 2019)The first vintage from 100% estate-owned grapes, grown in Colli Tortonesi and macerated for three days in stainless steel then cold-settled, before fermentation in cement. Matured in stainless steel for 10 months and then seven months in bottle, it jumps from the glass with honeyed, waxy aromas, super-fresh yet hinting at richness. Flavours of pithy citrus peel, hay and lanolin on the textured palate are well balanced by gum-tingling acidity. An ageable white that will reveal more layers in time.

(Vintage 2019)This is from the local timorasso grape and is typically bold with lots of honeyed and mineral-coated pear and white peach. Floral notes, too. Medium-bodied with a tight, phenolic feel to the palate. Focused white with lots of interest. Lots of long, peachy fruit in the aftertaste. Brawny, different and delicious. Drink now.
