Borgogno was established in 1761 by Bartolomeo Borgogno and has long been one of the most recognized names in Piedmont. Evidence of the estate's fame comes from the selection of Borgogno Barolo as the wine served at the celebration dinner for the Italian Unification in 1861. The 2017 Dolcetto d'Alba offers creamy rich primary fruit with blueberry and soft cherry confit at the front. There is an almost milky-like aspect to the bouquet with white chocolate or sweet almond paste. This warm and dry vintage brings out the robust intensity of the grape.
