Jane Anson, 2017 (Vintage 2015)

Proof of the excellent work that has been done at Durfort Vivens over recent years. It has lashings of dark fruit that is clearly ripe, but they have held back on the throttle, offering a slice of classical Margaux for drinking over the next ten to 20 years. This is their third vintage in biodynamics. 40% of overall production in this wine.

2018 (Vintage 2015)

There’s a dark olive and iodine thread here as well as ripe dark plums, blackberries and fresh violets. The palate has a very succulent, vibrant and energetic feel, not to mention good depth and detail. Second wine of Château Durfort Vivens. Try from 2022.
