About this winery

Château Laffitte Carcasset is one of the oldest properties in Saint-Estephe. The first traces of the vineyard date back to 1759. In 1767, the house is registered on the Belleyme map at the place called "Le Carcasset", in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown,

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Chateau Laffitte Carcasset leaps from the glass with notes of freshly crushed blackberries, warm blackcurrants and redcurrant jelly plus hints of violets, pencil shavings, wild sage and beef drippings. Medium-bodied, the palate is chock-full of crunchy black fruits, supported by ripe, grainy tannins and compelling freshness, offering a satisfying finish of fresh berries with a minty kick.
