Jeb Dunnuck, February 2019 (Vintage 2016)

Made with the help of consultant Claude Gros, the 2016 Château Vermont Grande Cuvée is the flagship of this estate and is 90% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot brought up in larger 500-liter barrels. It has a brilliant perfume of crème de cassis, toasted bread, vanilla, and crushed flowers. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, elegant, seamless effort that drinks well above its humble appellation. It’s a beauty.
