Product notes

The vineyard « Grillos cantores » is located in the Alto Cachapoal DO. This is placed at the foot of the Andes, delivering very cold nights with significant temperature fluctuations. The terroir corresponds to alluvial, ancient soils, limestone and granite gravel, giving the wines minerality and soft tannins.

Tasting notes

Beautiful ruby red color, with characteristic nose of red fruits, predominantly black cherry. It comes complete with a touch of species, black pepper and green tea. Cozy wine silky, generous, broad and sweet tannins; flavored with a subtle minerality on the palate. Its excellent acidity increases vivacity with an elegant finish and feminine character.

March 2018 (Vintage 2014)

(Vintage 2015)

An attractive nose of freshly-picked blackcurrants, ivy and herbs. Medium body, racy acidity, fine tannins and a minerally finish. So polished and refined

(Vintage 2015)

The 2015 Grillos Cantores Cabernet Sauvignon is varietal and, in the context of the rest of the 2015s, quite fresh and with moderate ripeness. It's perhaps the character of Alto Cachapoal where the grapes are grown. It's an approachable Cabernet with some dusty tannins, somewhat rounder than the spicier vintages before this one. They couldn't produce a 2016 of this wine because of the strong rains. 39,000 bottles. It was bottled in March 2017.
