About this winery

The Domaine Hamelin was founded in the 1840s by Gustave Hamelin. Today, Thierry and his son Charles perpetuate the family wine tradition. The know-how transmitted from generation to generation is a mix of ancient traditions and modern techniques. The domain focuses on Chablis wines that perfectly represent their terroirs. The Domaine Hamelin has been awarded many times and offers reference wines of exceptional quality from very old vines.

Product notes

It is harvested on a terroir close to the premiers crus. It has the same characteristics of finesse and bouquet as the premier crus, but to a lesser degree. It is both dry and fruity. Clear and light, its aromas and flavors develop quickly. It can be cellared for 5 to 8 years easily.

Tasting notes

Robe: bright yellow with a green glint. Nose: still discreet with a touch of hawthorn flower and freshness. Palate: round, fresh and mineral. Nice length with a powerful finish. The Chablis will be served chilled (10 to 12°C) with oysters, seafood, cold cuts or snails, and will go well with goat and Gruyère cheeses.
