About this winery

Founded in 1825, Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy's greatest domaines. Originally the company was a classic negotiant business, based in Nuits St. Georges and engaged in the buying and selling of wine but not the production of it. The 2019 Mercurey Vieilles Vignes offers up inviting aromas of raspberries, plums, spices and rich soil tones. Medium to full-bodied, melting and succulent, with lively acids and powdery tannins, it's produced from 30 or so hectares of vineyards and sees 13 months in barrels, 10% of which are new.
