A touch of gaminess in the aroma gives way to blackberry, black cherry, earth and iron flavors in this rich, solidly structured red. Vibrant and balanced, though this needs a little time to integrate. Terrific length. Best from 2023 through 2042.

Excellent blackberry and black-cherry fruit, the balance of ripe fruit, fine tannins and lively acidity resulting in harmony that’s so attractive, the finish so refreshing. Roughly two-thirds of this cuvee comes from vineyards close to the border with Vosne-Romanee, the rest from slightly further south.
