Product notes

The summer began with cooler temperatures that lasted until mid-August, and then conditions became warmer to assist with perfect ripening. While the cool weather helped produce well-balanced whites, the reds are fruity, distinctive and very aromatic. Alberello trained (bush trained) vines are 12-34 years old, and have been planted with a southern exposure at 250 feet elevation.

Production notes

Controlled-temperature fermentation and maceration for about 15 days. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and then bottle aged for 4 months prior to release.

Tasting notes

Ruby red in colour, this vintage exhibits bursting aromas of fruit and good structure. It is a pleasant and very flavourful wine where one sip leads to another.

July 2020 (Vintage 2018)

A polished, refined nero d’avola with blackberries, black olives and blueberries. Hints of stones. Full-bodied with a nicely formed palate and a long, linear finish. A cooler style, compared with the often jammy rendition of this grape. Drink now.
