Product notes

Nero d’Avola is the name of the grape that gives the best expression of this territory. It is a grape with ancient traditions, yet is particularly appreciated today, and it is one of the most interesting of the Sicilian varieties. Among its expressive characteristics there are the structure, richness, and roundness of its fruit, and its capability for lengthy cellaring. Controlled-temperature fermentation and maceration for about 15 days. Aging in stainless steel tanks. Bottle aging prior to release 4 months.

July 2020 (Vintage 2018)

A polished, refined nero d’avola with blackberries, black olives and blueberries. Hints of stones. Full-bodied with a nicely formed palate and a long, linear finish. A cooler style, compared with the often jammy rendition of this grape. Drink now.
