About this winery
Jean-Marc Brocard's origins lie in the Côte d'Or, a farmer's son from the village of Chaudenay-le-Château, not even the son of the vigneron. Following his father’s advice Jean-Marc studied Engineering leaving behind agricultural life. It was an accident of marriage that brought him to wine when he married Claudine (his childhood sweetheart), a vigneron's daughter from the village of St-Bris-le-Vineux in the valley of Yonne. Product notes
The Chablis Sainte Claire finely expresses the pure typicity of the Chablisien terroir: the Kimmeridgian. Made from the Chardonnay grape, this cuvée showcases the uniqueness of our wines, expressing strength, precision, and freshness. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged in stainless steel vats for 10 months with indigenous yeasts. Tasting notes
This is the most complex and vibrant wine from the Préhy vineyard. The subtle mineral character of its youth will develop into a fuller and more powerful style in 3 to 4 years.
