Product notes

Located in the Saint-Julien appellation, the vineyard stretches on two "Gunzian" gravel mounds and benefits from a North-South exposure. The soil is made of both fine and coarse gravel, with sand and iron clay. Culminating at an altitude of 24 meters, the center of the estate is Saint-Julien’s highest landmark. With a total surface area of 157 ha, the estate has dedicated 115 ha to vines and most lots are drained.

Production notes

Traditional Burgundy winemaking is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The vatting period varies from 15 to 25 days and is determined upon tasting and according to the development of the tannic structure in the fermenting wines.

Tasting notes

Château Lagrange produces every year a powerful, elegant wine with great cellaring potential.
