Neal Martin , (Vintage 2015)

The 2015 Tayac is another impressive wine from this under-the-radar Margaux, almost the same quality level as the 2016. It has a bright, vivid bouquet that blossoms, blackberry and violets, not a million miles away from the 2016 but maybe without quite the same precision. The palate is very well balanced with finely chiseled tannin, well judged acidity and superb body. Interestingly this Tayac tastes even better the following day, mellowing and evolving enticing pencil shaving notes. Bon vin.

(Vintage 2015)

Complex and youthful earthy and spicy aromas sit across violets, blueberries and cassis. The palate is very focused with a medium body and a slick, fresh-blackberry and plum fruit core. Try from 2021.
