About this winery

McManis Family Vineyards is a grower and vintner of premium varietal wine grapes located in the Northern Interior of California. The company was founded in 1990 by Ron and Jamie McManis - fourth generation family farmers. The McManis family has been growing grapes in this region since 1938. Product notes

The fruit was harvested between Sept. 5 - Oct. 3rd with an average Brix of 25.8. After 7-9 days of fermentation on the skins, the resulting wine was pressed and finished fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine was then aged in new and used French and American Oak for 4-6 months.

The fruit for our 2015 Cabernet was harvested between Sept. 5 - Oct. 3rd with an average Brix of 25.8. After 7-9 days of fermentation on the skins, the resulting wine was pressed and finished fermentation in Stainless Steel tanks.

Tasting notes

Deep ruby in color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon from McManis Family Vineyards has aromas of bright blackberry. The medium body is accompanied by flavors of black cherry and black currant. The well rounded, creamy tannin structure is followed by hints of mocha and a smokey finish.
