Production notes

Grapes for the 2015 Petite Sirah were harvested between August 28 - Sept. 13, 2015, with an average Brix of 26.5. After fermenting on the skins for 6-9 days, the must was pressed and the resulting wine finished fermentation in Stainless Steel tanks. The resulting wine then aged on new and used French and American Oak for approximately 6 months.

Tasting notes

Deep purple in colour with an exceptionally bright hue. The nose is filled with ripe blackberry, toffee and a bit of clove, while flavours of juicy dark berry fruit are abundant on the palate. A round, dense wine with a mocha finish absent of any astringency.

Joe Czerwinski, August 2018 (Vintage 2016)

A 50-50 blend of Grenache and Merlot, the 2016 IGP Principaute d’Orange A Cote was raised entirely in concrete. It's a dark, plummy red, with ample depth and concentration, a velvety mouthfeel and a long finish. It's not the most complex red, but at $15 retail, it's a terrific bargain in a ready-to-drink red.
