About this winery
The Nuestra Señora de Remelluri Farm formerly belonged to the Toloño sanctuary. It currently covers 154 hectares, 105 of which make up the vineyard. The Sierra de Toloño mountains are in the most northerly part of the Rioja Alavesa area, with its transitional climate between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. Product notes
Limestone terraces of calcareous, clay soil, with bedrock surfacing in certain areas. These terraces consist mainly of sandstone and loam, the origins of which date back to the Quaternary Period. Entirely hand-picked in 20kg cases. Harvest begins at the end of September/early October and ends late October. Selection in vineyard as well as on table.
Production notes
Lindes de Remelluri will show the best profile from the outstanding villages of Labastida and San Vicente de La Sonsierra. The wine undergoes native yeast fermentation and 12 months maturation in French oak barrels and vats.
