Product notes

The Rasteau Côtes du Rhône-Villages appellation area covers two geological formations: in the North are sandy soils and white marls, conglomerates of red soils and a few rocky pebbles. In the South there are very stony quaternary terrace formations, the most famous being one called "Plan de Dieu".

Production notes

The grapes are grown on 50 year old vines in the clay-chalk and glacially deposited stone covered slopes in Rasteau Cotes du Rhone Villages. Destemmed harvest, traditional vinification, long vatting with punching of the cap, 20% of the blend aged in oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting notes

Deep garnet offering aromas of garrigue, black fruit, smoke and leather on a nicely-structured background of freshness and elegance with a long finish with touches of flint and pepper.

Try with T-Bone steak, roast pheasant, duck, wild mushrooms and soft cheeses.
