Tasting notes

Roberto Voerzio is unquestionably one of the most acclaimed wine producers in Piedmont, known for making wines that are riper, richer, and less oaky and tannic than many other versions of Barolo on the market today. First planted in 1952, the vineyards in the Rocche dell’Annunziata and Torriglione plots are particularly special, due to their calcareous soils, which contribute to the incredible elegance of this iconic Barolo. The wine has intense aromas of violets, red currants, pepper, and spices; it is focused yet delicate, with silky, fine-grained tannins framing a creamy texture.
