Production notes
Sette Ponti's new flagship wine hails from a single, hand terraced vineyard originally planted in 1935. The vineyard's spacing was adapted in the 1950's and any replanting came from cuttings of the original 1935 vines. The soils here are stony and rich in mineral salts. Vigna dell' Impero is 100% Sangiovese and is matured in large 15 and 25hl casks.
