Neal Martin, (Vintage 2017)

The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Grands Liards has a tightly wound, focused bouquet of blackberry, raspberry coulis and subtle orange peel aromas that feel harmonious. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin and very good acidity and energy. Very impressive for a Village Cru - perhaps a Premier Cru in all but name. Highly recommended.

Neal Martin, January 2020 (Vintage 2018)

The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Grands Liards 1er Cru has a harmonious and nicely focused bouquet of brambly black fruit, pressed iris flowers and a light incense aroma. The palate is well balanced with plenty of energy and gentle grip. The surprisingly succulent finish leaves black olives on the aftertaste.
