Antonio Galloni, (Vintage 2018)

The 2018 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Scarrone combines fruit intensity with finesse to a degree I don't think I have seen before. Silky yet deep, with captivating balance, the 2018 is seductive from the very first taste. Black cherry, plum, mocha, spice, licorice and leather flesh out as this succulent, juicy Barbera shows off its considerable charms. The 2018 is a joyous wine from the very first taste.
