McManis Family Vineyards is a grower and vintner of premium varietal wine grapes located in the Northern Interior of California. The company was founded in 1990 by Ron and Jamie McManis - fourth generation family farmers. The McManis family has been growing grapes in this region since 1938. McManis Family Vineyards currently operates over 2500 acres of wine grapes and after the 1997 harvest, a state-of-the-art winery was designed and built to maximize the resulting wine's quality through small lot handling, whole cluster pressing and barrel storage and fermentation. It is the sole objective of the McManis family to produce the finest wine and wine grapes in the Northern Interior of California, as well as provide the best service possible. Dedicated and long term staff utilise grape growing and winemaking methods found in the ultra-premium wineries throughout the world to deliver some of the finest grapes and wine produced in California. Every step in the production process, every business decision made by the family, is carefully considered to enhance the grapes and resulting wine produced for McManis Family Vineyards and its customers. All the McManis Family vineyards are certified “Sustainable” under the Lodi rules program and in 2016, McManis Family Vineyards were awarded the California Green Medal Award for Sustainable Winegrowing in Business. This award honors the vineyard and or winery that best demonstrates smart buisness through efficiencies, cost savings and innovations from implementing sustainable practices. “Although our winery is certified under the California Sustainable program, we decided to certify all of our vineyards under the Lodi Rules Program. Not only are most of our vineyards located in the Lodi AVA, but we feel that the Lodi Rules Program best reflects our standard of farming practices resulting in a higher quality of wine. There is also great emphasis on protecting the environment, our workers and the community that we live in. It is very rewarding for our family to know that our efforts in sustainability help us to produce a quality wine for our consumers to enjoy!” Jamie McManis, Vice-President & Co-Owner.
