Puligny-Montrachet 1er cru les Referts 2017

- 92 points -

A discreet but not invisible touch of wood frames notes of pear, acacia blossom and white peach where a hint of matchstick character lurks in the background. There is both good volume and punch to the succulent and utterly delicious medium weight flavors that possess fine concentration while delivering really lovely depth and length on the balanced and classy finish. While built for the mid to ever longer-term, this stylish effort could be reasonably approached after only 5-ish or so years.
