Barrel sample. Wild and herbal on the nose – was this spontaneous fermentation, perhaps? And a touch of smoky reduction on the nose and palate. Dry, with quite a tannic grip, slightly sour, a very determined and embryonic wine. A little harsh at the end. (JH)
