About this winery

History Château Desmirail, included among the third growths in the 1855 classification, has an outstanding terroir bordering on the Route des Châteaux. (Vintage 2018)

Le 2018 possède du volume, une bouche charnue et pleine, il termine toutefois sur des tanins élégants et fondus et confirme son statut de belle révélation du millésime 2018.

2021 (Vintage 2018)

The 2018 Desmirail is a gorgeous wine for readers who want a bottle to drink now. Plush and inviting, the 2018 possesses terrific depth in its inky dark fruit. Spice, chocolate, dried herbs and licorice add pretty aromatic top notes to balance all of that natural richness. All the elements are harmonious and impeccably balanced. There is so much to like.

(Vintage 2018)

Tight tannins and dark fruits; powerful and confident. There are some ferocious tannins here that make it a little atypical for Margaux, but there is real promise, with some appealing berry fruits.

James Suckling
(Vintage 2018)

This has an earthier nose of blackberries, dried earth, bark, oyster shells and cloves. Medium-bodied with fine, tea-like tannins. Savory, mineral and tight
