Production notes

Basa, Rueda
The Verdejo, Viura and Sauvignon Blanc blend has year after year been named one of Spain’s and the world’s great white wine values. The intense floral aromatics, freshness and wonderful texture are the result of the high elevation plantings in lime and gravel soils, with good drainage, that give rise to some of the best quality white wine grapes in Spain.

Tasting notes

Readers looking for a tasty, value-priced white should check out the Basa. Produced and fermented and aged in tank, it is a crisp, crunchy, medium-bodied, dry white offering notes of grapefruit, white currants, and flowers as well as excellent underlying acidity.

Pale straw-yellow. Clean and fresh on the nose, with a lemony pineapple note that is present in the mouth too. A lovely wine with a strong mineral bite on the finish.
