(Vintage 2016)

Owned by the Despagne family of Château Grand Corbin Despagne in Saint-Émilion, this ripe, smooth wine is very much made in the style of that appellation. This 90% Merlot is ripe, full of sophisticated black fruits matured in wood. It is an ageworthy wine, solid with tannins as well as plenty of fruit.

2019 (Vintage 2016)

Dark-berry, floral and hot-stone aromas follow through to a full body, tight and firm tannins and a floral finish. Shows tightness. A blend of 80 per cent merlot and 20 per cent cabernet franc. Better from 2021.
