About this winery

Historically Macon was known primarily as a source of vast quantities of cheap white wines made by village cooperatives - reliable everyday wines, but no match for the great whites of the Cote de Beaune. December 2021 (Vintage 2019)

Aromas of spiced apples, apricots, white peaches, praline and some oyster shell. Full-bodied with fresh acidity and a supple, buttery texture. Mineral, flinty edge. Vibrant finish. Drink now.

Neal Martin, June 2021 (Vintage 2019)

  • From the domaine’s oldest vines, the 2019 Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat "Les Quarts" has a brisk, lemon verbena, crushed rock and subtle blackcurrant leaf scented nose that is beautifully defined. The palate is taut and linear on the entry, a fine bead of acidity here, slightly waxy in texture towards the finish with hints of pear and peach skin lingering on the aftertaste. Drink now and over the next decade.

(Vintage 2019)

Doré brillant. Les Quarts séduit par ses touches de fruits blancs et son boisé intégré. La bouche est ample, riche, sapide. Il est ponctué d'une finale amère et minérale légèrement chaleureuse. Prêt à boire.
