The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Fournaux 1er Cru offers earthy, brambly red fruit on the nose, along with touches of undergrowth and bay leaf, all nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with mulberry and blackberry notes, soft in the mouth at first, yet the structure makes its presence felt toward the saline finish. Very fine and classic in style.
