About this winery
The parent company. The beginning of a revolution. Tinto Pesquera is the most cherished project of Familio Fernández Rivera. A 16th-century stone press with which the group began, in 1975, to craft red wines that would put Ribera del Duero on the global wine map.

Production notes
Temperature controlled fermentation lasts two to three weeks. Afterwards, and without clarifying, the grape pulp is directly transferred to an astute and subtle combination of French and American oak barrels that have been subject to various degrees of toasting. Where, in between frequent pump-overs, the wines are left to stand.
