(Millésime 2015)
This is so delicious now with plum, chocolate and hazelnut character. Full-bodied, layered and yummy. Round tannins are so integrated. Really hard not to drink now. So why not? Second wine of Chateau d’Issan.

Tanins soyeux. Souple, velouté, harmonieux.

Very pretty and finely formed with currant, cherry and raspberry character. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a long and fresh finish. Fine textured. Lovely second wine for d’Issan.
Voir la revue de presse détailléeThe 2015 Blason d'Issan is a superb second wine. Dark, powerful and enveloping, the 2015 has so much to offer in its fleshy, inviting personality. Dark plum, leather and cedar are some of the many nuances that flesh out in this resonant, super-expressive Margaux. I loved it.
Silky tannins and the same richness of fruit that you get in the 2016, maybe not quite as deep and textured. A very good second wine, and one that you could easily drink now, even more so than with the 2016. Full of pleasure but also feels like a sophisticated wine with real interest. A slightly hotter finish than the 2016, but the clay in the subsoils at Issan keeps freshness even in hot summers.
Voir la revue de presse détailléeVery lively and polished. Satin tannins. Just a little lack of concentration and follow-through. Rather inky finish.
Voir la revue de presse détailléeThe quality of this 2016 just shines out. It's full of plump fruit, with great balance and plenty of Margaux typicity - plump red and black berry fruits and high floral aromatics, an exemplary second wine. And from a yield of 55hl/ha; a great example of how (low) yields are not a necessary indicator of quality. Some menthol notes on the finish also, this is juicy and although you could drink now, it will develop further in bottle.
