Alma Negra was founded by Ernesto Catena, a 4th generation winemaker of Italian descent who, having spent a part of his life working as a designer and being a fervent student of Renaissance humanism, sees it as his mission to transform everything in his wine world into art, from growing the grapes to making wine to selling it. Production notes
Alma Negra (translating to 'dark soul') is a blend of Bonarda and Malbec , the bend though is a Mystery! Grapes for Alma Negra are sourced from vineyards owned by Ernesto (Valle de Uco, Agrelo, La consulta, Vistaflores and Rivadavia vineyards) along with a handful of growers with whom Ernesto works with daily basis to improve the fruit's yield and quality.

Purplish red in colour, this red boasts a intense nose exuding animal, woody, empyreumatic, spicy, floral and fruity aromas.
