Product notes
Château de Sancerre® Rouge is exclusivement made of Pinot Noir grapes. The fruit is hand-harvested on 5 hectares of vines owned by the Marnier-Lapostolle family. The vineyard is planted on clay-limestone, “caillottes”, and clay-loam soils. This terroir brings a unique freshness to the wine. Half of the wine is aged in oak barrels while the other half remains in vats for a whole year. Both wines are blended in September and bottled in November. The final wine has a marked character that expresses the know-how of the Maison Grand Marnier®.
