Tasting notes

Grillo’s color recalls mature straw yellow with beautiful gold shades, kidnaps the nose with intense flower sensations perfectly mixed to a fruity timbre of citrus and yellow peach, with hints of grass and sweet almonds. Full, rich and deep, has a sapid and balanced palate, always perfectly balanced in terms of freshness.

Stephen Tanzer, July 2018 (Vintage 2016)

Bright red-ruby. Blackberry, black cherry, violet, licorice and spicy oak on the nose. Juicy and penetrating, showing good saline grip to the flavors of cassis, blackberry, licorice and fresh herbs. Clearly a wine from a cooler year, displaying a distinct herbal element, but with no shortage of intensity. Shows little in the way of easy sweetness but the tannins are fine-grained and unobtrusive.
