About this winery

A trained chef, Francois Villard developed a passion for wine at the age of 20. Unsure how to enter the wine world, he completed a year of professional certification in sommellerie at Tain l’Hermitage. The connections he made there were pivotal, inspiring him to become a winemaker.

Josh Raynolds, May 2020 (Vintage 2018)

Vivid straw color. High-pitched citrus, orchard fruit and floral scents pick up deeper pineapple and marzipan nuances with air. Rich yet lively in style, showing sharp definition to its juicy tangerine and pear nectar flavors. Finishes long and subtly sweet, with resonating citrus fruit character and a subtle touch of honeysuckle. I would have guessed that there was Viognier in here, and not a small amount of it.

January 2019 (Vintage 2016)

Some tropical fruit, in the pawpaw and green-mango zone, with a subtly mealy edge. A sturdy palate with plenty of weight and texture. Long flavors of melon and pears. Drink now.
