Macan and Macan Classico wines are the result of an encounter between Spain’s most prestigious winery, Vega Sicilia, and the owner of the legendary Château Lafite in Bordeaux, Benjamin de Rothschild. Research and purchase of 30 to 90 years old vines in the heart of Rioja Alavesa has lasted 8 years. Today, the joint-venture grows 80 hectares of old vines and produces 300 000 bottles annually.
