About this winery

Product notes

Monplaisir draws its sensuality from the border of Verona, the ultimate city of Love, and invites you to indulge in la dolce vita the Italian way, with its sunny restaurant terraces… With Monplaisir, the Montresor family also pays tribute to its French origins, having moved to Veneto in 1892 to become a prestigious reference in the world of wine.

Production notes

This rich, voluptuous, passionate red wine is made from Corvina (70%) and Merlot (30%) using Montresor’s double extraction method. Grapes are crushed, de-stemmed, and transferred into stainless steel tanks to undergo alcoholic and malolactic fermentations during 48 to 72 hours. Then, part of the juice is racked and transferred into another tank to continue fermentation. Additional grapes are added to the first tank to improve the concentration.

Tasting notes

Corvina and Merlot give ripe fruit, currant and spicy aromas to this warm, rich, voluptuous wine that is true to its terroir.
