Production notes
Traditional vinification of red wines. After the first fermentation, the Valpolicella gets a second fermentation , because it is put in barrels containing the Amarone pomaces, according to the “Ripasso method”. Only after the luscious flavours of Amarone have been imparted to the wine, it is allowed to further age for 6 months in big French and American oak cask. After this ageing, the wine rests for two months in 225 liters French barriques.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby red in colour. On the nose it displays aromas of blackberry and cinnamon. Dry on the palate with a very pleasant velvety taste. Very rich in flavours of cherry, musk, spices and wood.
