About this winery

Born from the union of the cellars of Beaumes-de-Venise and Vacqueyras in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail vineyard, Rhonéa is a collective of more than 400 artisans. Product notes

TERROIR: A hillside vineyard on chalky-limestone terraces covered with pebbles.

AVERAGE AGE OF VINES: 40 years.

VINEYARD MANAGEMENT: Plantation Density: 4,000 plants per hectare. Short goblet and cordon pruning. 90% handpicked harvest. Yield 40 hectolitres per hectare.

VINIFICATION: De-stemmed harvest. Traditional vinification with long maceration, partial punching of the cap. Maturing in concrete vats.

Production notes

De-stemmed harvest with traditional vinification featuring partial punching of the cap. Matured in temperature-regulated concrete vats at 25-27°C.

Tasting notes

Intense ruby red robe, red fruit, spice and liquorice aromas, supported by a pleasant structure and mellow tannins.

Pair with roasted veal or poultry, casserole, black pudding, fresh goat and sheep cheeses.

Drinking pleasant now. Reaches its peak after 2 to 3 years.
