Tasting notes

The colour is deep and limpid with purple tinges. A very fruity nose of Morello cherries, blackcurrant skins, pepper and icing sugar. On the palate it is full and smooth with good tannins contributing the overall harmony of the wine. The fruity aromas on the nose are echoed on the palate leading to a long fresh finish. This is a very young wine still which needs to breathe if opened now. It will age beautifully for about fifteen years. Matching food: Duplessis can be enjoyed with grilled red meat. As it ages, it goes very well with pâté and game and is amazing with farmhouse matured cheese.
