It all began with Rubesco, the iconic label of the Cantine Lungarotti winery, whose name derives from the Latin “rubescere”, to blush. Today the Umbrian group, guided by Chiara Lungarotti (C.E.O.) and her sister Teresa Severini, produces 2.5 million bottles each year of 27 different wines exported to 50 countries worldwide from 250 hectares of vineyards (between the Torgiano and Montefalco estates), with an overall turnover of 10.3 million Euros. With these figures Cantine Lungarotti can be considered a true testimonial for the Umbrian land, thanks to their integrated promotional system, of which they were forerunners, and a complete production cycle including agricultural exploitation (olive oil and balsamic condiment) but above all, unique cultural and tourist activities.
