ZIND-HUMBRECHT - Pinot Gris Rotenberg - 2016

ZIND-HUMBRECHT

Pinot Gris Rotenberg 2016

- 91 points -

Despite ferocious mildew attacks in late spring, the 2016 Rotenberg turned out well. The nose is curious, with subdued marzipan as well as tropical fruit aromas, and it's floral too. Suave and rounded, this is very concentrated, with fine extract but only moderate acidity. This gives a rather blunt finish but there's limpidity and length too.
