(Vintage 2016)

A tangy and dense red with plum, chocolate and berry character. Full body, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows excellent upside. Nice follow-up to the excellent 2015.

2017 (Vintage 2016)

A lovely Camensac full of plush, sculpted tannins and a ripple of cassis fruit. This closes down a little on the finish; maybe the fruit isn't quite pushing through the entire length of the wine and could do with being a little denser, but the tarry edge to the oak gives a sense of ambition and there is plenty to enjoy here.

2020 (Vintage 2016)

The 2016 de Camensac has an easygoing, rather one-dimensional yet pure bouquet of black cherries and light pencil box aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with strict but well-defined tannins. Quite an edgy Médoc, but one with pleasing persistence on the finish. This is worth seeking out. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting.

(Vintage 2016)

On déguste toujours avec autant de plaisir le très beau 2016, d’un charme indéniable, avec sa bouche raffinée et ses tanins de soie.

Dark crimson. Rather luscious and biscuity. But drying tannins on the end.
