About this winery

The origins of the first organic Franciacorta, of a family, a winery and a territory. A past that has ancient roots, deep down in the soil. A memory made of authenticity and right choices. From its origins until today the work of Barone Pizzini has followed a path marked by sustainability, to produce wines...

Decanter

- 90 points -

Barone Pizzini was the first organic producer of Franciacorta. Combining these well looked after vines with the complete lack of oak and the addition of a touch of Pinot Blanc, they have succeeded in producing this beautifully fresh style that really pops. It is intense and juicy, with citrus and stone fruit flavours linked by a mineral acidity, and red fruit on the long finish.

The NV Franciacorta Extra Brut Animante is a steely and dry sparkling wine with bright tones of citrus, pear and white peach. This bottle was disgorged in October 2017. The bouquet offers pinpoint precision and lots of freshness with citrus, pear and white peach. This refreshing and lightweight sparkling wine is a blend of 78% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Nero and 4% Pinot Bianco. Some 90,000 bottles were made.
